Each of SNHPC’s 14 member municipalities houses a conservation commission. According to the New Hampshire Association of Conservation Commissions, conservation commissions are local conservation volunteers whose goal is to protect natural resources. Efforts throughout the region include inventories and plans to protect forests, grass lands, marshes/wetlands, and more. Below are links to each municipality’s conservation commission web page where you can find contact information, meeting dates, and see their ongoing efforts.

SNHPC can provide technical assistance to municipal conservation commissions through mapping, conservation planning, and training. The Commission hosts annual Conservation Commission workshops and trainings.
