Publicly-Accessible Volunteer Driver Programs

Volunteer driver programs (VDPs) allow volunteers to drive seniors and those with disabilities to key appointments and everyday errands. This application showcases VDPs around the state including their days of operation and communities they serve. The Web map app is a snapshot in time and is not regularly updated. You should always check with a provider directly to  confirm specifics.

Manchester's Historic Streetcar Network

Streetcars were the common form of transportation in cities around the country in the early 1900s, and Manchester was no different. This web map app displays Manchester's electric streetcar network prior to its discontinuation in the 1940s. Also shown are the city's historic and current heavy rail system.

SNHPC Stream Crossings

There are over 1,600 stream crossing structures, like culverts and small bridges, in the Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission. The web map app lets the user filter stream crossings by ownership or municipality of location. In addition, a stream crossings vulnerability score can be displayed—representing the risk of an asset's failure.

New Hampshire Planning Commissions

Regional planning commissions (RPCs) work all around the state and country. However, those actions usually take place behind the scenes. To help the public better understand RPCs and their functions, this application was created. The web map app goes through all the RPCs and the region and highlight a major program or project.

Development & Land Use Efficiency

Land use development patterns differ widely across the state. Our municipalities vary from urban to very rural. Some county subdivisions don't even have a single resident. It's often hard to visualize these differences and how they influence things like population, jobs, and infrastructure. This web application tries to tweeze those issues apart and look at the relationships behind them.

SNHPC Traffic Counts

One of the Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission's primary programs is conducting vehicular traffic counts both for the NH Department of Transportation and local towns. These provide key inputs for transportation decisions locally and statewide. They also are crucial input for the MPO's transportation modeling of current and future conditions.
