Regional Student Planning Competition's Winners Announced! Click on any photo to enlarge

The Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission’s fourth annual Regional Student Planning Competition has come to a close. The competition was run throughout the entire thirteen town region and asked Elementary and Middle School aged students to become more aware of the region around them and really analyze where they live. The commission received 60 entries from Bedford, Londonderry, Manchester, and New Boston.

A panel of five Commission Members served as judges and judged each individual entry on a 1-5 point scale in the categories of appearance, organization, ideas presented, and effort and originality. From each school the entry with the highest number of points was designated as the winner.

Congratulations to the following students who were chosen as the winners:

• From the West Running Brook Middle School in Derry - Jojo Morse 
• From the New Boston Central School in New Boston - Kyla Conners
• From the Riddle Brook School in Bedford - Jadyn McDonough

The winning students along with their families were acknowledged at the commission’s office on May 25, 2010.

The Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission would like to extend its gratitude to all the students who entered the competition and to the commission members who took on the role as judges.
