A panel of four commission members served as judges and judged each individual entry on a 1-5 point scale in the categories of appearance, organization, ideas presented, and effort and originality. From each school the entry with the highest number of points was designated as the winner.

- From Chester Academy is Alex Cavaretta.
- From From Deerfield Community School are
Allison Barnes and Juleah Heath (tie). - From Matthew Thornton School is Gage Johnson.
- From Hallsville School is Jade McKinnon-Cote.
- From Jewett Street School is Joshua Inthabane.
- From New Boston Central School are Adam Cote and
Addie Stevens. - From Lamprey River Elementary School is Jessica Scott.
The winning students along with their families were acknowledged at the commission’s office on April 22, 2008.
