COMMUNITY PROFILES

The Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission region is composed of 13 member communities including Auburn, Bedford, Candia, Chester, Deerfield, Derry, Goffstown, Hooksett, Londonderry, Manchester, New Boston, Raymond and Weare. These communities are segments of Hillsborough, Merrimack and Rockingham counties. The region covers approximately 492 square miles and is home to 259,521 residents. The following three files are summaries or profiles of each community in the region.

Flash Facts are a two page snapshot of each community prepared by the SNHPC as part of a Community Development Finance Authority SEED Grant in 2004. Each Flash Fact displays population, geography, community resources, housing, real estate costs, zoning, education, employment, commuter, and tax rate information.

New Hampshire Community Profiles
Community Profiles are prepared and updated regularly by the New Hampshire Employment Security.  Each Community Profile highlights community contacts and location, municipal and emergency services, property taxes, utilities, housing, demographics, income, transportation networks, education and child care, largest employers, labor force, commuter information, employment and wage statistics, and recreational facilities.
